At the e4m Connected TV Conference held in Mumbai on May 9, Pankaj Krishna, Founder and CEO, Chrome Data Analytics and Media (Chrome DM) shed light on India's burgeoning Connected TV (CTV) market and shared valuable insights. He showcased a presentation about 'Scaling Data-Driven CTV' including many interesting data points.
According to the data from Chrome Digital Track, captured in Week 18, 2024 (27th April - 3th May’24) from (8 AM – 10 PM) Aaj Tak News Live had 35.75 million total unique viewers across Smart TVs (Cloud TV, Tizen, Vidaa, Roku, WebOS, Android, iOS & Linux, YouTube, browsers etc.) and Smartphones (YouTube, OTT, native apps, browsers etc.) followed by ABP News Live & India TV Live with 33.22 Mn and 32.66 Mn total unique viewers respectively.
ABP News Live has secured 35.20 million unique viewers during Week17 of 2024 (April 20-26) from 8 AM - 10 PM, according to the rankings of Chrome Digital Track. "The channel's unwavering commitment to comprehensive and insightful news coverage has resonated deeply with audiences across the nation. This remarkable feat underscores the channel's ability to captivate audiences with its incisive reporting and breaking news updates," said the network.
At the e4m Media Debate on the topic - 'India needs multiple TV ratings providers' held in Mumbai on Thursday, industry experts debated the existing rating system, with some supporting a single agency and others advocating for the establishment of multiple bodies to break the monopoly.
